John Underwood will share his experience with analyzing properties to see if they are a good fit for a short term rental.   
What is involved, special considerations, city/county regulations, HOA, location, market, desired location/tourism, economy, zoning, exit strategies and more.
If you don't do your due diligence, you could face problems ahead.  Be prepared to dig deeper.
What if your numbers work great as a short term nightly rental (e.g. $125/night), but regulations change/won't allow STR anymore and now you have a regular long term rental (e.g. $900/mth)  and can't afford it. 
Look at Plan A, and make sure you have analyzed a Plan B and Plan C...

There will be time for Q&A with the panel of leaders of this new group. Panelists include Jessica Kilcoyne, April Whitworth, Kim Warren-Page, Cheryl Wengert-Sievers, and John Underwood. 

What is this new group?
Upstate CREIA responded to popular requests for a Short Term Rental Focus Group.  This is a hot investing niche that many are already in or want to explore. 
We have assembled a panel of local UCREIA Members who have a variety of experience to lead this new interactive discussion group.  There will be topics presented, real case studies,
and always time for Q & A from the audience.  Our goal is to learn from each other by sharing experiences, wisdom, pitfalls, tips, paperwork, and more.

We will opt to have live in person meetings at least quarterly as the face to face networking is so important.  Watch for monthly details for zoom link or in person venue.
