“Not every person lives in a safe and healthy home,” but Rebuild Upstate, a local non-profit group, is actively helping homeowners in our community who wish to stay in their home, yet struggle to make needed repairs.

There are hundreds of homeowners in the upstate who do not live in safe homes, and we can help! UCREIA members are gathering for a work day on Saturday, July 13th from 8:00 - 5:00 to assist Rebuild Upstate in helping a homeowner in our community. Skilled labor is always welcome, but not required. Rebuild Upstate will train anyone who volunteers for them. Although we do not know exactly what the project will be yet, examples of a Rebuild Upstate project are building a wheelchair ramp, installing handrails, or repairing rotting floors, shower bars, etc. These repairs will be something a skilled rehabber would find quite easy and something a new investor might want to learn how to do, so whatever your skill level come join us! Materials and tools will be provided.
We need up to 12 volunteers committed in order to go forward with the project. If you would like to help someone in our community sleep easier knowing that their house is safe, please commit to joining us on July 13th. Please plan on a full day. Lunch will be provided. We have our 12 volunteers! THANK YOU ALL!!!
